Benpaul Housing Initiatives (BHI) is a professional consulting management agency specializing in construction management, Architectural, Design-Build, and Engineering services to commercial and government clients. We provide high quality and responsive solutions to our valued clients, including working with other agencies and companies based upon the project’s needs to provide one stop and complete Project Solutions (Value Engineering). BHI has the resources, facilities, personnel, experience, and commitment to complete a large variety of projects successfully.

OUR MISSION

BHI’s mission is to provide quality and timely professional services at a reasonable cost and in the most efficient manner possible. BHI maintains a Quality Assurance and Quality Control program to ensure quality services and the ability to determine the rate of success of proposed projects before they are presented, thus resulting in a high success rate of approval. We continue to pride ourselves in going that extra effort to ensure our clients are completely satisfied with our performance and work results.

LEADERSHIP

BHI principal and president is responsible for management, administration, business development, planning, operation and supervision of the company staff. BHI president has over 30 years experience in planning, designing, and contract administration of various projects and public facilities. Oversees each and every project undertaken to make sure of client satisfaction and that needs are being met. BHI president has worked with FEMA as both a project officer and specialist, including the Hurricane Katrina affected areas of Orleans Parish.

STAFF

BHI employees consists of professional and highly experienced staff in Engineering, Management and technical expertise areas. Many of BHI employees, as well as its’ President, are former FEMA specialists and employees. This has provided BHI with a working understanding and in implementing FEMA policies and procedures and knowledge of FEMA forms and worksheets. Each key personnel have a working knowledge of the STAFFORD ACT and access to its reference materials. BHI staff has the ability and knowledge to review and change project information to meet the FEMA eligibility standards and guidelines. BHI employees can adapt and adjust to day to day project conditions and operations to showing its complex negotiations skills to pushing projects from funding to completion.

EUGENE BEN-OLUWOLE

PRESIDENT

Eugene Ben-Oluwole has over 25 years of experience in the Architectural / Engineering / Construction Management field. He has served as a consultant for over 10 years in the area of Facilities Planning and Design for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey at various airport facilities both in New York and New Jersey. As a practicing Architect and Planner, he served as Executive Director of the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation.

Eugene is currently involved with Urban Planning studies, including but not limited to Housing Studies and Infrastructure Development in the New Orleans Re-Build effort, including Catalytic Project Development in the Central City Strategic Improvement Zone and the C.J. Peete Housing Redevelopment Program with the Office of Recovery Management in the City of New Orleans.

VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

Sgt. Belinda Ben-Oluwole has over 25 years of experience in the Architectural / Engineering / Construction Management field. He has served as a consultant for over 10 years in the area of Facilities Planning and Design for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey at various airport facilities both in New York and New Jersey.

While serving in the Army, Ben-Oluwole was awarded several medals for her service including The Army Commendation Medal, The Army Achievement Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.
